





Sage, Russian (Perovskia atriplicifolia)
This is one of the more familiar xeriscape plants in the area. Beautiful purple flowers bloom in mid to late summer amidst a spray of sage green leaves. Fragrant from leaves to flowers this perennial/shrub is much loved by honeybees in the season when nectar is waning. Grows to 4’ tall and spreads by rhizomes, give room to grow. Excellent for back of perennial beds and paired with Blue Mist Spirea, ornamental grasses, black eyed Susan. Prefers full sun and dry conditions once established.
